Brilon LLC Terms and Conditions
At Brilon LLC (Brilon Iron Works), customer satisfaction is our top priority. We are committed to providing superior service, high-quality products, and clear communication. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, please review the following terms and conditions. Orders will not proceed with production or be scheduled for delivery, shipping, or installation without a signed quote confirming acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1. Warranty Coverage - Limited Lifetime Warranty
Brilon LLC warrants that all structural components of its iron doors will remain free from manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Any defects identified will be addressed through repair or replacement, at Brilon LLC’s sole discretion.
- Structural Components (Frame, Threshold, Door Panel, Hinges, Handles) – Lifetime Warranty for the original purchaser. All doors are made with hot dipped galvanized 12-gauge steel and insulated with Polyurethane Foam.
- Paint, Glass, Smart Glass, Seals, Accessories (Window Latches, Flush Bolt, Roller Latches, Deadbolt) – Three Year Warranty from the date of delivery or installation. All doors are made using dual pane tempered glass with an air gap. All doors are finished in oil-based enamel paint and completed with a matte clear coat.
- This warranty excludes scratches, chips, or broken glass. Repair visits for painting touch ups are priced based on travel, time and materials. Glass replacements due to broken or scratched glass are priced based on the glass type and dimensions of the glass piece.
Installation Warranty
- Installation services provided by Brilon LLC and its licensed subcontractors are warranted for One Year from the date of completion including framing, installation, drywall and stucco repairs.
- Coverage excludes damage caused by subsequent repairs, environmental conditions, or improper maintenance. Coverage also excludes settling of framing on new construction homes.
2. Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
The following are excluded from this limited lifetime warranty:
- Environmental Exposure: Damage from saltwater, high humidity, lack of adequate overhang protection and condensation build up in cold climates. Rust is never included in any warranty policies and is a direct result from water sitting on the finish for prolonged periods of time. When properly cared for, our paint will not fade, flake or rust.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, dents, or imperfections due to regular use or environmental conditions.
- Self-Installation: Warranty is void if the product is installed by an unlicensed contractor or improperly handled.
- Transportation: Damage caused during transportation and shipping.
- Manufacturing variations are to be expected with hand forged products and are not considered defects. The products are of a nature that the materials are never flawless and the natural imperfections of steel, welds, paint, glass and other components will vary within a reasonable tolerance. Variation acceptance is at Brilon LLC’s sole discretion.
Disclaimer – Thermal Breaks
Brilon LLC iron doors do not include thermal breaks. As such, these doors may not be suitable for extremely cold climates, as they can conduct temperature changes and may result in condensation. Customers in colder regions should consider this prior to purchase. Thermal Break upgrades are available for custom doors.
Disclaimer – Door Openings
Brilon LLC iron doors are prehung on iron framing. When purchasing a door it is the overall dimensions that are listed including the framing. For example, a 42x96 iron door has 2" framing on each side which would leave a 38" door opening. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they are ordering the correct door dimensions.
3. Maintenance Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, customers must:
- Clean the door regularly with a non-abrasive cleaner and dry thoroughly.
- Avoid exposing the door to water, such power washing. Be sure to dry the door after cleaning and after weather conditions with moisture.
4. Transferability
This limited lifetime warranty is valid for the original purchaser only. Transfer to subsequent property owners is available only when the door was purchased by a builder and the warranty is being transferred to the homeowner.
5. Claims and Remedies
To file a warranty claim:
- Notify Brilon LLC in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect.
- Include photos of the issue, and a detailed description.
- For self-installed products, provide proof of installation by a licensed contractor.
Brilon LLC will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective components. Labor and shipping costs may apply after the first year.
Liability Disclaimer
This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing defective components and not replacement of the entire product. Brilon LLC disclaims all implied warranties except when prohibited by law and Brilon LLC is not liable for damages exceeding the product’s value.
All Brilon LLC doors are sold “as is” and as such Bilon LLC disclaims all implied warranties. We make no other warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied, included implied warranties of merchantability.
6. Orders & Deposits
- Stock Doors require a 50% deposit to schedule pick up, delivery or installation.
- Custom Orders require a 50% deposit and CAD design approval before production will begin.
- Shipping Orders require 100% payment before shipping will be scheduled.
Disclaimer – Measurements
Customers are responsible for accurate measurements unless taken by Brilon LLC. If discrepancies arise from customer-provided measurements, additional installation charges may apply. If discrepancies arise from Brilon LLC provided measurements, there will be no charge for additional installation work needed. Note: Rough openings must be at least 1” wider and ½” taller than the door size.
Brilon LLC is not responsible for walls that are not aligned or are out of plumb causing the measurements to be inaccurate. If the door does not fit into your opening due to prior framing issues, our teams can attempt to modify your opening, and this will result in increased installation charges.
7. Payments
Brilon LLC thoroughly reviews all orders to ensure accuracy, valid payment methods and that you are authorized to use this payment method. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree and understand that all sales are final and waive the right to dispute any credit or debit card payments. Brilon LLC accepts the following payments:
- Cash/Check
- Credit/Debit Cards: 3% processing fee will be added to quote total

Disclaimer - Payments
The balance on all orders will be due the day of delivery, pick up, shipping or installation. If a credit or debit card was used to pay the deposit, it is saved on file and will be charged for the balance due if not paid within 48 hours of job competition. Balances not paid within 5 days of competition will incur a $20 per day late fee until the total balance is paid.
8. Lead Times
- Custom Orders: 16-24 weeks.
- Stock Items with Installation: 6-10 weeks.
- Stock Items Delivery Only/Shipping: 1-2 weeks.
- Stock Items Pick up: 1 week.
Disclaimer – Lead Times
All lead times are approximate and subject to change. Brilon LLC guarantees fulfillment within 12 months of deposit. Please note that our doors are imported from overseas and sometimes we can experience delays in manufacturing production and transportation to our warehouse.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must occur before the date of pick up, delivery or installation for stock doors. For custom orders, cancellations must be before CAD approval.
- Approved cancellations are eligible for a 75% refund of the deposit.
- Custom orders are non-refundable once CAD is approved, and production begins. If cancelled during production, the 50% deposit is considered payment towards time and materials. If the 50% deposit exceeds the door cost, a partial refund may be given for the installation work not completed and is at Brilon LLC’s discretion.
10. Installations
- Brilon LLC installations are subcontracted and completed by licensed contractors.
- Customers must prepare the area and ensure there are no obstructions, furniture, blinds, pets or décor that will be in the work area. Brilon LLC staff will not move or rearrange any furniture.
- Brilon LLC is not responsible for electrical work, flooring, painting or other unrelated repairs.
- Installations are typically completed on one day for standard size jobs with two crews. If extensive demo and framing is needed, our drywall/stucco team may need to return the following business day. Brilon LLC will make sure the opening is closed and secured with plywood if necessary, until the second crew can arrive. Installation and drywall/stucco is only included if these services have been added onto your quote.
Disclaimer - New Construction Installation
Customers are responsible for covering and protecting the door during ongoing construction. Any damaged to the door, glass or paint during construction will incur additional charges for repairs and is not covered under the warranty policy.
11. Local Pick-Up and Delivery
- Customers may pick up their orders from Brilon LLC warehouse at no cost.
- Delivery is available within Arizona for an additional delivery fee based on location.
- Products must be inspected upon pick up or delivery, as Brilon LLC is not responsible for damages once the product leaves the premises or are teams have left the delivery site.
12. Shipping
- Items are shipped using LTL freight carriers. For stock doors the average handling time is 1-5 business days before your product is picked up from the carrier. Transit time will vary depending on your location.
- Due to the size and weight of our products, shipping is curb side, and a lift gate can only be provided for single and double doors that are 81” height. All 96” doors will require you to have a forklift or equipment on site to unload the crate from the truck. The customer is responsible for the rental and payment of equipment.
- Shipping and delivery costs are paid in advance with your order. There is no cash on delivery to the freight carrier or driver. Any additional payments made by the customer, including any gratuities you make to the shipping carrier, or its agents, will be at your expense and will not be refunded by Brilon LLC under any circumstances.
- Brilon LLC is not responsible for damage during transit. Customers must inspect products upon delivery and report any issues within 24 hours with photos and documentation.
- In the event you cannot immediately install your iron door, you should store it in a dry location, safe from the elements to prevent damage. We recommend you keep the door in the crate and the materials it was shipped with until you are ready to begin installation.
- Brilon LLC takes great care to inspect and to securely package our products to protect them against scratches and other marks during the shipment process however, we cannot guarantee that your purchase will be delivered undamaged. Little scratches are not uncommon with shipping so we will send a touch-up kit with all our doors.
- At the time of, and before accepting, delivery of the product, please thoroughly check the packaging for any signs of damage during the shipping process. Immediately note any damage to the packaging on your delivery receipt or bill from the carrier. Our packaging is not waterproof, so note if the packaging is damp. Packaging itself should be opened immediately upon delivery and the product should be checked for damage that could have occurred during shipping and delivery, including for water damage, or any differences between the product you ordered, and the product delivered (e.g., color, glass, design, etc.). If there is any damage or discrepancies, please immediately call us before accepting the delivery.
13. Shipping Returns
- Products may be returned within 7 business days of delivery, with prior approval. Returns are only accepted due to manufacture defects and are at the sole discretion of Brilon LLC.
- Returned products must be in their original condition, and shipping fees are non-refundable.
- A 25% restocking fee will be deducted from any refunds. Refunds are not processed until the door has been received back to our warehouse and it is inspected to confirm it is in the original condition with no damages.
- Custom-made or modified products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
- Returned products sent without our prior knowledge and approval will be refused and no refund given
- Customer is responsible for all return shipping and this cost may also be deducted from any refunds.
